Announcing theme for Nov. 13 carnival — “Lists”

I Hate Stairs is here to help people with disabilities around the world set the record straight. Whether you have to painfully trudge up the steps into a non-ADA compatible building or go around to the back to enter like a second-class citizen, whether you are a peacemaking Christian or an Eastern mystic committed to extreme non-violence, there is one thing all people with disabilities hate—stairs. Stairs are more than a set of concrete blocks or wooden planks that get in our way. They are a figure of all phenomena that obstruct our physical and social wellbeing, a figure of all walls that divide those of us with disabilities and those of us without them.
